Plus, some reminders…

🏊‍♂️🛟As They Say, Safety First! 🏊‍♂️🛟

Some quick reminders about lifeguards and swimmer safety. We want to make sure the pool continues to be a safe and fun environment for our community.

Lifeguards have full authority to clear the pool of all or any swimmers at any time… All members and guests shall be respectful of the lifeguards and use appropriate language when communicating with them… The Pool Manager has the authority to resolve any conflict, including issuing warnings and/or asking any member or guest to leave the pool grounds.

All persons 13 years of age and younger must pass a deep water test before being allowed in the main pool. The test shall consist of swimming one length of the main pool without stopping, floating for two minutes and treading water for two minutes.

You can find all our pool rules here: https://bannockburnpool.org/about/bannockburn-swim-club-operating-rules/

We encourage you to direct any future feedback or questions about the pool or operations to membership@bannockburnpool.org, where a board member will respond to your concerns directly.

👙🩳Turn Your Old Swim Gear Into A Good Cause➡️❤️

Waves4Change, founded by Montgomery County student-athletes and brothers Maximus and Jay Cole Devinney, is on a mission to ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy and learn the life-saving skills of swimming. With the rising costs of sports equipment, and uniforms, children from lower-income families are often excluded from participating in sports. The Devinney brothers want to turn the tide on this issue in the world of swimming by making it more accessible!

By collecting and distributing swim gear to children in need, Waves4change is creating opportunities for young swimmers to thrive. Now, Waves4Change is calling on all swimmers and families in the Bannockburn swimming community to donate any old/used or new swim gear to their cause. You can donate in the dedicated Waves4Change bin located by the lost and found. They will then distribute the donated swim gear to lower-income families and swimmers around the country.

With the help of our very own Waves4Change Ambassador at Bannockburn Olivier Bui, founders Maximus and Jay Cole are looking to make a difference with the help of our swim gear donations!
