Swim Team:
If you haven’t registered for the swim team, there is still time! Go to our website and register! Swim team (competitive and pre-team) is available for kids 5+ with an in-water assessment.

Sunday, May 18th – Back to Pool Event @ Bannockburn from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM! Meet the coaches, purchase your team suit, grab some new swim team merchandise, complete the in-water assessment and donuts will be available too!
- Parents should bring their child(ren) to swim assessment before signing up for the swim team (don’t worry, we won’t fill up but do close June1).
-
To be on the competitive team the child needs to swim one lap of the pool with a legal freestyle (and backstroke).
-
To be on the pre team the child needs to be able to stay afloat. If they can’t do this, then we will recommend private lessons.
-
We can give refunds but it is a pain so please don’t register your child until after the assessment.
-
Please sign up for one 10 minute slot per child. If your child is on a club team and swims year-round, no need to sign up.

Quiz: What is the most common question we’ve received this season? If you guessed… “WHAT IF I CAN’T ATTEND ON MAY 18TH”? – you are a winner!
ANSWER: NO PROBLEM—seriously! It’s okay. Just drop in at any practice during the first few weeks and ask a coach to conduct your swimmer’s in-water assessment. We have enough stress in our lives; the Back to Pool Event should NOT be one of them.
May 19th – Swim Team Practice Begins and May 26th Pre-Team Practice Begins- Check the schedule

Saturday, June 7th – Time Trials @ Bannockburn at 8:30AM – Swim Team Swimmers ONLY. What are Time Trials? Time Trials is an all Bannockburn “Practice Meet”. It’s a perfect first experience to learn how summer meets operate and gives swimmers a bit more confidence going into their first official dual meet. This meet lets the coaches know what areas the team needs the most improvement in as well as how fast each swimmer is at the beginning of the season. Parents, we need you too…experienced and new timers welcome!

-
If a member brings, as a guest, an Inactive Permanent Member (except in the case of an inactive member living outside the D.C. area, who is in town temporarily or for a brief portion of the pool season).
